like how media misportrays black bears?
Is Vegas misportrayed in the media like black bears, and snakes? Plenty times at PEEC we’d get a group of kids scared out of their faces of nature (esp night hikes) because the media portrayed black bears as maneaters, snakes as evil, and the dark as a place where serial killers obvs. lurked amongst the ferns and japanese barberry.
In all reality, black bears are mild mannered bear and only want our food trash, only two types of local snakes are venomous - and those are MUCH rarer, and why the FUCK would a serial killer come to the delaware valley water gap recreational area?where almost NO ONE lives?
Is Vegas like this too? Loaded with inevitable drunken marriages to sleazy strippers? Various other sexual temptations? The cast of CSI? Free booze and bad decisions?
Vegas has got to be at least a little embellished, right?
It seems so extreme.
Well…I’ll be ringing in the New Year with a belly full of sushi and some Mel Brooks movies…
